As of 4 June 2008 Geek Tech Support will be closed. I will be leaving to start my transfer from the Air Force into the Army. Since i am the only employee, Geek Tech Support will have to temporarily close. I will not have access to a computer until sometime in August. Once my laptop has been mailed to me I will be able to start doing remote IT Support again via LogMeIn. All website work will be put on hold until that time as well. If you current have a website hosted with GTS Web Hosting, your site will continue to function as it should, i will just be unable to make any changes. I will have my BlackBerry with me. That being said, I should be able to check my email every couple of days. |

OK so as I type this blog post, I am on hold with AFPC. All I am trying to do is get some data that they were suppose to send me when they approved my application. AFPC said that my MPF is suppose to give it to me, MPF said that AFPC is suppose to give it to me. Finally, AFPC sent me an email with the instructions for Blue to Green and low and behold... AFPC is suppose to give it to me. But guess what, even though I have it in black and white from AFPC, I still can't get AFPC to understand simple english that they wrote....
You know, I have been trying to get a CJR so that I can stay in the USAF for roughly the last 3 years. Now that I am trying to get out they continue to try and screw me. |

Well it is official...well sorta. I received a verbal confirmation that my Blue to Green package has been "CONTINGENTLY" approved by AFPC, whatever the hell that means (bout damn time). I was suppose to receive official word today, but between the phone lines, afpc.af.mil, MILPDS, and every other system that I need to deal with being down for the better part of the day they never got around to it. Hopefully by next week I will have been to MEPS and I will know what my future holds for us. Right now it would just be nice if I knew what I will be doing in 4 months. Man I love this hurry up and wait BS.
Well I guess that is enough for now. |

Well, I've got my paperwork back from my Commander. He signed off on it. So now my next step is to send it up to AFPC and see if the Air Force will allow me to get out early so I can enlist into the Army.... |

So for those of you that don't know, I was not able to receive a CJR from the Air Force to re-enlist. So because of that I am now applying for a transfer to the Army under the Blue to Green program. Right now I am waiting to get the paperwork back from my commander. Once I get it all I have to do is wait for AFPC to sign off on it. |
